Welcome to Chinn Elementary PTA!
A very important part of Chinn Elementary is our PTA. The Panther PTA supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety, and quality of education and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.

About Your PTA

We are so excited for the 2023-2024 school year! 

Members of Thomas B. Chinn’s Panther PTA support critical academic needs, serve as an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety, and quality of education and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.

We invite you to join the Panther PTA because increasing our membership, even by one, makes it possible to:

• Sponsor student field trips
• Sponsor cultural arts assemblies
• Provide books to each student as part of our Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) campaign
• Provide funding for critical training opportunities for teachers and support staff
• Provide holiday celebrations for students and staff
• Provide student and staff appreciation celebrations
• Sponsor social events that bring our families together promoting a sense of community within our school
• Support the Backpack Snacks program (Harvesters) for families in need
• Replace playground equipment as needed as well as support other improvements to the building or grounds

There is no wrong or right way to be involved. Anything you can give – time or money, will support your child’s potential.  We understand your time is valuable, but nothing you do for children is ever wasted. We invite you to be an active participant because we can do more together than apart. 

Our monthly meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30 – 7:30pm.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  This year we plan to meet in person as well as provide an online meeting link for those who wish to join virtually.  For those joining us in person, we try to provide free childcare for school-aged children.  We will provide instructions on how to connect with us for the virtual meetings on our Facebook page and in the weekly Chinn Pride S’more newsletter.

We invite you to continue to build the Family-School Partnership that makes Chinn such an amazing school for our kids.
